Manchester United are set to return with an offer for top summer target Arturo Vidal.
According to the Express,
the Red Devils will offer Juventus £40million for the Chilean who will receive a mega £200-a-week salary.
That would put Vidal on the same amount of money as Robin Van Persie with only Wayne Rooney earning more at the club.
Juventus have made it clear they do not need to sell their star midfielder but would consider doing so if offered a huge fee.
Arsenal and Real Madrid have also been linked with moving for Vidal but it has been United in pole position to land his services in recent weeks.
Louis Van Gaal has wanted to lure a marquee name to prove to the Old Trafford faithful he has serious intent at bringing the glory days back.
He has already signed Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw but Vidal would undoubtedly be the name that stood out if United made a deal happen.
